Paul Clarke Travel Award |
1. Introduction
This travel bursary is in honour of Professor Paul Clarke to the Yorkshire and Humber SCI group. Paul chaired the committee for several years and brought boundless energy and fierce dedication to our group. He was instrumental in bringing many events to Yorkshire and avidly represented the fantastic chemical activity of our region at SCI.
Preference will normally be given to those wishing to travel outside their country of residence, especially if they wish to work in a laboratory abroad. Awards of up to £300 will be made, on a competitive basis, to assist with travel, subsistence or conference registration fees.
Payment of the Award will be made only on receipt of a report on the conference or visit and will be treated as part-reimbursement of expenditure. Receipts as proof of travel will also be required.

- 30 May (for travel between 1 July- 31 December) and
- 30 November (for travel between 1 January- 30 June).
Bursary recipients are selected shortly after the closing dates, and applicants are notified of the results within a month of the closing date. Valid applications must be accompanied by a reference, which must be submitted to awards@soci.org.
